SunSport caught up with “The Architect” to talk Triple H, performing at WrestleMania, and how he’s changing WWE for the better.
“A good bit, I would say. He’s had so many classic matches and moments at WrestleMania. Even just in the last five years, you’ve got Undertaker, Sting, Roman Reigns, and Daniel Bryan. For me, to be on that list is pretty cool, but I want to go out there and blow all those other matches away. I know that’s saying a lot, but that’s how I operate when I’m in big match situations.”
Rollins also spoke of the respect Triple H demands
“When you’re in the ring with him he’s got such a presence, it pushes you to be better. You can do two things – you can wither up and let him step all over you, or you can rise to the occasion and push him back. That’s what I’m looking to do.”
The two time WWE world Champion spoke on what it would mean to beat Triple H with the Pedigree
“Obviously I had quite the WrestleMania moment at the last WrestleMania I was on, walking out as WWE World Champion. Could I surpass that by beating Triple H with his own move? Who’s to say. But WrestleMania and this time of year is about creating moments and a legacy. That would surely be a feather in my cap going forward.”
Rollins also believes he is the perfect man to beat Triple H
“He’s never been in the ring with a guy like me. Maybe you could say Shawn Michaels – as far as someone who’s well versed in all different types of professional wrestling – but I like to think that I’m a jack of all trades. I think I’m going to be able to push him as much as he pushes me.”
