Destiny didn’t quite bring them together, but Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Jason Jordan are destined to be in for an incredible fight when they defend their newly-captured titles against former champions Cesaro & Sheamus at Royal Rumble.

Following the injury to Seth Rollins’ Shield brother-in-arms Dean Ambrose, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle chose his son Jason Jordan as The Architect’s new tag team partner, and perhaps no one could have predicted that the makeshift pair would immediately take down The Bar for Team Red’s tag team crowns on a special Christmas night edition of Monday Night Raw. That miraculous victory didn’t exactly go all the way in uniting Rollins and Jordan, however, as the two Superstars have somewhat struggled to gel ever since becoming champions, despite continuing to fend off The Swiss Cyborg and The Celtic Warrior.

However, with a title rematch against Cesaro & Sheamus at Royal Rumble on the horizon, can Rollins & Jordan find the rhythm they need to carry on as Raw Tag Team Champions? Or, will the trust and experience between The Swiss Cyborg and The Celtic Warrior carry them back into the championship circle?

Find out when the Raw Tag Team Titles are defended at Royal Rumble, streaming live on WWE Network on Sunday, Jan. 28, at a special start time of 7 ET/4 PT.

After Raw General Manager Kurt Angle restarted this past Monday night’s Raw Tag Team Championship main event, making it a No Disqualification Match, Samoa Joe interfered and cost Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose the chance to recapture the titles, much to the delight of Cesaro & Sheamus and the chagrin of all three members of The Shield.

Fortunately, The Hounds of Justice will have an opportunity at redemption when they square off against the three nefarious Superstars in singles action. Live on Raw, it will be Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns vs. Cesaro, Ambrose vs. Joe and Rollins vs. Sheamus.

Which brand has the better Tag Team Champions? Raw’s Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins and SmackDown’s Jimmy & Jey Uso will answer that question when they brawl in a battle for brand supremacy on Sunday, Nov. 19, at WWE Survivor Series.

These highly-acclaimed titleholders are no strangers to one another, having exchanged pleasantries a few months ago in response to a WWE.com poll asking who could dethrone the Raw Tag Team Titleholders. The tag teams traded scathing words via Twitter, as both duos seemed keen on the idea of finding out which tandem fit the bill as WWE’s best tag team champions.

Since then, both teams have faced tremendous obstacles. Ambrose & Rolllins have proven to be nearly unstoppable, most recently defying the odds of a hellacious 5-on-3 Tables, Ladders & Chairs Handicap Match alongside Kurt Angle. Meanwhile, The Usos lost their coveted titles to The New Day but got their retribution when they overcame them in an epic Hell in a Cell Match to win back the tag team gold.

With both pairs of Superstars sitting atop their respective brand’s Tag Team divisions, it’s time to finally settle the score and see who is the better tandem. The 30th annual WWE Survivor Series will play host to a battle for brand supremacy between Raw and SmackDown LIVE, and both tag team titleholders will be determined to prove their dominance.

Will it be Raw’s Ambrose & Rollins or five-time Tag Team Champions The Usos from SmackDown LIVE who prove to be the best duo in sports-entertainment?

Don’t miss out when The Lunatic Fringe & The Kingslayer collide with Jimmy & Jey on Sunday, Nov. 19, at a special start time of 7 ET/ 4 PT, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.

The Shield has returned! Much to the elation of the WWE Universe, Roman Reigns has reunited with Raw Tag Team Champions Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins to wage war against the overwhelming quartet of Braun Strowman, Intercontinental Champion The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match at WWE TLC.

Though Reigns’ insisted he was on a different path from his former Shield brethren, the rumors began to run wild as to whether the fans were destined to see The Hounds of Justice together again, especially after Ambrose and Rollins put their turbulent history aside and captured the Raw Tag Team Titles from Sheamus and Cesaro.

While The Lunatic Fringe and The Kingslayer were busy duking it out with The Swiss Cyborg and The Celtic Warrior over the illustrious tag titles, The Miz was poking a stick at The Big Dog in his unrelenting search for respect. Eventually, “The Bar” aligned with The A-Lister to execute a brutal 3-on-1 beatdown on Reigns. The trio even tempted fate when they culminated their attack with a Shield-signature Triple Powerbomb and mocked the brothers-in-arms by putting their fists together a la The Hounds of Justice.

However, the ridicule turned serious in a hurry when the reunited Reigns, Ambrose and Rollins interrupted “Miz TV” one week later and unleashed a major counter-offensive of their own.

In the wake of the chaos, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle made the Six-Man Tag Team Match, and we are off to the races. However, when Miz pointed out Ambrose’s earlier boast that The Shield could take on four or five guys, Angle agreed to let The A-Lister try to secure a fourth member for his team. Instead of a man, though, the fourth combatant turned out to be a Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman.

A longstanding adversary to Reigns, Strowman also recently defeated Ambrose and Rollins, respectively. The massive Superstar literally tips the scales in favor of Miz, Cesaro and Sheamus in a big bad way. Together, the nearly insurmountable combination may prove cataphoric to the reunification of The Shield.

At WWE No Mercy, Raw Tag Team Champions Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins will go head-to-head against former titleholders Cesaro & Sheamus in a tough-as-nails SummerSlam Rematch.

Considering the volatile demise of The Shield, the reuniting of Rollins & Ambrose as tag team partners seemed unlikely to everyone – including the Superstars themselves. Nevertheless, the brothers-in-arms indeed reassembled in explosive fashion and overcame Cesaro & Sheamus at The Biggest Event of the Summer to claim the Raw Tag Team Titles.

Though their styles are quite different – Rollins’ calculated dominance meeting Ambrose’s unpredictable mayhem – The Kingslayer and The Lunatic Fringe have once again found a common ground and fused their approaches into sheer tag team excellence.

Speaking of tag team superiority, the hard-hitting combination of Cesaro & Sheamus have not backed down an inch since losing the titles at SummerSlam. Instead, The Alabaster Gladiator and Swiss Cyborg have continued to build themselves into a tandem that is absolute power personified. And after trading singles victories with the current titleholders, they now look to take back the championship at the Sunday, Sept. 24, pay-per-view.

Don’t miss what is sure to be an explosive Raw Tag Team Championship showdown at WWE No Mercy, Sunday, Sept. 24, at 8 ET/5 PT, streaming live on WWE Network.

One is a team of two rivals, thrown together by circumstance and hardened by respect into a two-time title-carrying tandem. The other is a team of brothers, ripped apart by ambition and slowly, painfully, reformed by redemption. And one of them will walk out of SummerSlam as the Raw Tag Team Champions.

Having finally reconciled their differences after a knock-down, drag-out brawl, Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins will challenge Cesaro & Sheamus for Team Red’s tandem titles, bringing the most rabid rivalry of The Shield’s dissolution to a long-awaited end. And it certainly took a hard sell on Rollins’ part to get it to happen: After weeks of Rollins attempting to make amends for his betrayal three years ago, Ambrose finally came around to The Kingslayer’s cause when the former turncoat rescued him from a beatdown by the dominant Raw Tag Team Champions. Only now it was Rollins who wasn’t ready to play nice, fed up with The Lunatic Fringe’s unwillingness to take him at his word that he was a changed man.

In a heated confrontation the next week on Raw, the two put their cards on the table and worked out all their pent-up aggression, and The Swiss Cyborg and The Alabaster Gladiator took that moment to jump on their recent rivals. Only Ambrose & Rollins fought back in unison this time, driving the champs away and finally delivering a (reciprocated) Shield fist bump moments before the match was sanctioned in earnest. Now, the team nobody expected takes on the reunion many thought would never come. And if Ambrose & Rollins have retained even a specter of their old dominance … well, it just might be time to re-set the bar.

To see who walks out of Brooklyn as Raw Tag Team Champions, tune in to SummerSlam, streaming live this Sunday at a special start time of 7 ET/4 PT on the award-winning WWE Network.
